Sam a successful man was taking a stroll in a park . Coincidentally another
man, Jim wearing ragged and old looking clothes was sitting on a bench in the park . As the two passed each other , they briskly looked at each other and smiled . It seems they were childhood friends . So they sat and chatted
Sam : Hey Jim ! long time no see
Jim : Yeah , ever since you moved out of our village , we havent seen you since !
Sam : Well , my uncle had a factory and wanted the family to help out... So we moved out early in the morning so no one would know . We didnt want the formalities .
Jim : So i see you are doing pretty well now
Sam : Yes , i have just expanded the factory .
Jim : So whats the secret to your success ?
Sam : When i was young , my grandfather told me a story . Its a long story,
DO YOU WANT TO HEAR THE STORY ?(reader if you want . move on )
Jim : well....(unwillingly) okay...
Sam : In a land far far away , Merlin the magician gathered all the knights around the world together in one place . He said ," Whoever can find me a magical orchid , i will grant him ( knights) any wish they want .The knights cheered in joy and some even shouted " thats easy !"
However , Merlin said,"The orchid can only be found in the twighlight forest , and only seven days from now " Hearing this , all the knights left , because they found it impossible , because it takes at least 2 days to get to the forest . All the knights left except for two , the white knight and the black knight . The black knight proudly announcing that he knew exactly what to do and that he was sure to win . Whereas the white knight was pretty confident himself , the two knights headed their way .
Day 3 :
(Black Knight)
Upon arriving , the black knight looked for the Prince of the Earth , the gnome . He asked , do you know if there are any orchids in this forest !? Hurry up i have no time
Gnome : Hold on a second human ! I need to think
Black Knight : Okay , but make it fast
Gnome(irritated) : No ! These 100 years i have never seen an orchid here ! There is no way an orchid can grow here ! Now go away !
Black Knight : You must be lying , well if you dont want to tell me the truth , im leaving .
So the black knight went on to ask the other inhabitants of the forest ... He approached the Lady of the Water .
Black Knight(rudely): Can you tell me if there are any Magical Orchids in this forest ?
Lady : No , there has never been any orchids growing in this forest let alone a Magical Orchid .
The Black Knight then rudely walked away, and went to approach the oldest inhabitant of the forest , The Treant .
BlackKnight : You are the oldest inhabitant of this forest are you not ? Can you tell me if there will be any Magical Orchids growing in this forest 5 days from now ?
Treant : Well let me think , i have been here for hundreds of years ....
BlackKnight(Irritated): Will you hurry up ? i havent got much time !
Treant : Wait , i need to think .... No , i havent seen any orchids here in this forest and there can never be any orchids growing .
The BlackKnight a little discouraged decided that the orchids must be growing else where , so he climbed up the nearby hill to ask the Queen of the Rocks for her opinion .
Queen : hahaha , there can never be any new life forms growing in that forest ! Let alone an orchid !
Day3:
(White Knight)
Upon arrival , the white knight found a spot in the forest , and settled down. Then he approached the Prince of the Earth .
Gnome : What do you knights want from me now ! There will never be any orchids growing in these soil !!!
WhiteKnight : Im sorry oh Prince of the Earth , then may i ask what soil is suitable ?
Gnome : Fresh new soil . There is a farm up north where you can get it .
White Knight : Thank you
Heading north , the Knight collected two bags of fresh soil and made his plot of land
Then , he went to the lake and drank some water , awaking the Lady of the Water .
She shouted " Do not awaken my lillies ! I need them to help evaporate the water or the forest will flood ! "
White Knight : Oh , i am very sorry . Do you think i can help you ? I can use my sword to make tributaries to help you spread out the water, so you can have rest in the day .
Lady : Do as you please , if it would help .
The white knight then led the water to his plot of land , and thus getting himself a source of water . Next he went to The Treant for advice .
White Knight : Wise inhabitant of the forest , how much sunlight do i need to grow orchids ?
The Treant : You Knights again !? Go away .
White Knight : Im sorry for what the black knight has done , but would you tell me how much sunlight do i need ?
The Treant : The trees here have grown tall and old and no one has ever come to cut the dead branches and leaves off for ages !
White Knight : Then i can help you !
The Treant : It would do them a great favour .
Going back to his plot of land , the Knight immediately cleared some branches and leaves allowing light to shine through . Wanted to take a look at his land from above , the knight headed for the nearby hill to take a look. On the hill , the Queen of the Rocks jeered at him saying
Queen : HAHAHA ANOTHER FOOLISH KNIGHT COMING TO FIND ORCHIDS , there can never be any new plants growing in the forest !
White Knight : What makes you say so ?
Queen : There are too many rocks laying around !
Immediately the knight went back to his land to clear the rocks and stones .
Day 6 :
An evil witch , approached the angry black knight , and said " Merlin is just tricking you . Whoever plucks the magical orchid would get any wish , however the one who plucks it first dies ! "
Blinded by anger , the black knight planned to kill Merlin the following day for revenge .
The evil witch , also approached the white knight saying " Merlin is tricking you ! He probably has the Magical Orchid in the garden of eden , his own garden ! . He is just lying to you "
White Knight : Why should i believe you ? Merlin is an all knowing wizard and he has never lied to anybody ! Besides , your an evil witch ! Why should i believe you in the first place .
Angrily the witch left saying something about the black knight . In the Garden of Eden , Merlin being the All knowing wizard knew about the evil witch and the black knight wanting to kill him . So he changed his garden to bricks .
On the seventh day , the black knight rode his fastest horse towards Merlin , and upon arriving , he was surprised at what he saw .
Merlin : I know about the evil witch , and i know of your intentions thats why i changed my garden to bricks to prove to you that i am not lying .
Black Knight feeling stupid blamed himself , and magically a rain of seeds showered the garden of eden and the forest . Upon contact with the ground the seeds melted , exept on the White Knights plot of land . A small orchid started blooming immediately and the White Knight plucked it and excitedly rushed towards Merlin .
